Daryl,

You are correct in the statement that this is a Young Chang built piano (I've
worked on several of them.) However, on the serial # check w/ Kent Webb at
Baldwin concerning the manufacture date (don't forget to allow for a possible
time lag from the date it was built to the date it was finally sold by the
dealer.)

Further, Baldwin is currently selling several models of Wurlitzer pianos in
the line. The spinets and promotional level consoles are built in the
Trumann, AR factory. The grands are built in Korea by Kamic (Korea-America
Musical Instrument Co.), which I understand is actually the same thing as
Samick. These grands are essentially the same instruments that have been
sold under the D.H. Baldwin, Kranich & Bach, and possibly some other names.
However, don't confuse these with the D.H. Baldwin grands produced some
years ago in Japan. Clear as mud, right?

Hope this helps,

Allan Gilreath, RPT
