String breakage is a concern for all, but I have experienced far less breakage
than in the past because using the SAT the strings are pulled up no further
than need be for stability and no further.

Any questionable pianos I tune lower first to get the feel of the piano.  I do
have one old instrument tuned 100 cents flat because of string breakage in the
past.
