Same here... I found, though, that the 3' extension cable drive, which ends in a handle the size of a fountain pen, lets you get right in amongst the action bits. This is important to keep the sanding drum, 1/2 inch dia, at right angles to the hammers. It takes some practice and a steady hand. The downside is that with one careless second, you can ruin a perfectly restorable hammer. I always make two passes, once from the front, and the next from the rear of the action; with the grinding direction towards the striking point of the hammer. Works great. Jim Kinnear, I.P.T.
