When I was at Oberlin in the mid 60's (yes, barely in living memory), there
was a little one-credit course for piano majors. They worked on one practice
Steinway at a time, rebuilding, and also learned basic tuning. I thought it
would be _fascinating_, but, no, I "had to practice". :-> Took twelve years
to remedy that choice.

Maybe Ken Sloane could tell us if there's still a course like that?
