Hi Jim:

In a recent reply you mentioned that the S&S L sounds more pinched
in the Bass than the O.  I was wondering if you could settle 
sometining in my mind.  I had heard years ago that the Bass strings
of an O and an L were the same.  Is this true?  And if it is true,
and the tail of the O is more rounded and the L has more soundboard
area in that portion, what could account for the better sound in
your opinion?
