Humidity control

I have heard the complaint before that Dampp-Chaser systems must be
ineffective because they only affect the soundboard from one side. Even
so, they actually work, which fact should outweigh purely theoretical
considerations. Areas where continuous room-climate control is
impossible should include most private dwellings in addition to churches
and auditoriums. A lot of people can't or won't pay to have even a
Dampp-Chaser system installed in pianos, much less complete home
humidity control systems. Finally, Dampp-Chaser systems which affect
both sides of the soundboard are available for vertical pianos.
