Accordingly some turn out quite nicely and some turn out not so nicely. In any event most of the "quarter grands were "just another little grand" when they were originally made, although there are exceptions (as always), and will remain so when rebuilt unless some serious work is done to alter some specs. Is it worth rebuilding??? Yeah, probably, at least as good as what the rebuilding fee would buy new unless an exceptional buy was stumbled upon. Jim Bryant (FL) P.S. to the list in general---there is an 1850 Chickering Square Grand (rosewood) in this mornings paper if anyone is interested. Asking price $600.
