Straight-strung vs. Over-strung

Hi all, :)

I have had occasion to tune a *straight* strung upright. The sound was, in
my humble opinion, much *cleaner and clearer* than an over strung piano of
the same vintage. Of course, this is subjective, but then most of what
defines *good taste* is subjective.
