Thanks Les for your suggestion to label old player parts from gutted
pianos. I never thought of it doing that before.

I use to work on player systems, so I know first hand how valuable these
parts can be to those who restore players. It only takes one part you
need, (and don't have) to pull your hair out!

I have already supplied my local player friends with more parts then
they need, so I have turned to the PTG line with my offer to send these
parts I get to other technicians. It is a shame to throw player parts
away when someone else can use them.

I offer my community one free service. Whenever someone has an old
upright piano to get rid of, I will go and get it free. Most of the
time it is beyond repair, so I tear it up. This is how I get a lot of
player parts.

If the piano still has some life left to it, I try and fix it up a bit
and sell it reasonably. But, I avoid putting junk back out on the
market. Sometimes, I hit the jackpot and get a really fine piano that
someone just doesn't want anymore. Anyway, I tend to get a lot of
player parts, regular upright parts, ivory, and so on.
