Hello Dave
Yamaha had a seminar here in Venezuela for Venezuelan technicians two months
ago, and they brought the Yamaha PT-100II for a demonstration, I can tell
you, I was not impressed, Basically has the same functions, the only
difference with the old one ( I own one of them) is that they are using a
Lithium Ion battery, and is accesible from underneath to be easily changed,
and they installed in it a midi port. Besides, there are no new fatures,
They told us that they improved the circuitry. Also this PT-100 had three
tuning programs removed, so it has less features than before. It is worth
to mention that I studied electronic engineering, and as a sideline I am
also assembling and selling computers, and in my opinion, I still think SAT
is far better equipment.
I hope this helps.
