Dear List, Relating to the soap post.....I've found that in a situation as was described....something else was amiss! Soap would not likely wick through the layers, multiply or not Unless the screw holes are drilled precisely in the area of the pinblock where it tapers and is narrow, inserting the screw can separate the laminations thus causing failure. Even if it is a multilamintated block this same delayed effect can occur, sometimes taking a few years to become evident. As far as plugs......might be yer best bet!
