Fred, thanks for your articles. I've using some of your techniques and been very satisified with the results. I have 2 SATs (does that mean I'm addicted?). My first (S/N 378) had FAC installed about a year after it became available. It's F number minimum is 2.0 When I do 8.0, 8.0, & 8.0 on SAT 378, A0 is -11.4 cents and C8 is 42.8 cents. On SAT no. 1613, with the same FAC numbers, A0 is -14.8 cents and C8 is 43.8. My point is that not all SATs, or should I say, FAC programs are the same. I don't tune that many harpsichords, but it seems that with my newer SAT that I can enter a 0.0 F4 stretch number, and the changes from note to note only change at the rate of about one tenth of a cent per half step. Just a thought. Larry Gardner, RPT Fresno CA
