Help (please)! Voicing the Yamaha hammer

Tom,

Are you wanting to voice because you were asked too?  Recordings sound
better, brighter.  Most studios want that bbreakk gglassss sound.  If you
must...alcahol and water can do the trick if they are really bright but you
are on the right track with the needles set at one mm and work the crown just
a bit. It will help cut the edge off some shrills but keep most of the power.
