Dear List, Earl Dunlap's post was great... When did Steinway begin using the Merino felt again in their hammers. I will be rebuilding a Steinway M in the next month or so and I had planned on using A. Issac's hammers with the cherry moldings. Have Steinway's hammers improved since Merino felt was reintroduced?
