Avery; On those instruments that truly need this hammer adjustment the change is fairly dramatic and if it is not on your instrument, then perhaps it doesn't/didn't need it. I think from your comments, and someones else comment, that focusing on voicing (with all that entails) is the way to go. You want to pay particular attention to the over/understrike possibilities in this section. Close attention to shaping and judicious juicing (sorry couldn't resisit it) with your favorite mixture should be yield you suitable results. Jim Bryant (FL)
