Steve, Thanks for your reply. I certainly didn't mean to short change Yamaha. I had a CP-70 back in the pre-digital days. The action blew a Rhodes off the face of the earth! Yamaha has always been in the forefront of electronic instrument development. Somehow, I thought price might be an object from David's original post. I haven't priced one lately, but I bet the GT1 costs a whole lot more than a MIDI retrofit! Point well taken however. There are many, many viable options out there.
