Pedal dowel bushings-glue-less: Was CA glue quirk

I seem to encounter rattling pedals a lot. Often it's a rubber bushing (is
that the right term?) that has disintegrated or hardened. I called
Wurlitzer/Baldwin a few years ago and they carried the parts. I ordered
$10 worth of them, minimum order, and Linda laughed and said, OK, if
that's what you want. So I ended up with several billion of them. I always
have a few in my tool case, and it takes about 5 seconds to correct the
situation. Using felt works, but why bother? I also used to carry aquarium
tubing to slip over the end pin and quiet the sound, but that's only
necessary now if the hole is too small for the GROMMET (I remembered the
terminology). Should I go into business and sell these things? As I
recall, the supply houses don't have them.
