Hi Bob: Although a SAT tuning can be used in the master tuning process, it is not the final result of the Master Tuning committee. It is allowed to be used as the starting point, but the finished product may or may not be like the FAC tuning by the time the committee gets thru with it. So, you are correct in that the Master tuning is really an aural tuning.
