Dear List,

I found a different hobby shop in my neighborhood and went to get a fresh
supply of CA glue. While there I browsed the tool section and found a flush
cut pliers there (used for cutting tracks for electric trains) that looks
really great.

It feels solid, is guaranteed for the life of the tool, cuts the largest
center pin like butter, and makes a cut that is truly flush to the side of
a flange. What is additionally interesting is its construction. Here is the
manufacturer's quote:

"This patented Micro Shear blade by-pass reduces effort and
extends tool life because the cutting knives do not meet edge to edge."

The cutting blades just miss each other by a fraction, yet cuts great. It's
$12.99 and made by Xuron Corp. Saco, Maine 04072-1840. The model # is 2175B
and is called "Track Cutter"
