In a pinch you can always use a pair of needle-nose pliers or a small
Vise-Grips. I tuned one of these for a client for maybe ten years, or so.
Then, one day he called, needing a tuning right away, and I was unable to
accomodate him, so he called someone else. When I went back the next time,
I found the tuning heads all chewed up and butchered; some with little
pieces actually broken off. Absolutely incredible. I assume that the tech
who did the tuning didn't have the correct wrench and decided to impro-
vise. He was obviously a charter member of the BPTA. That's Bozo Piano
Technicians of America. These days it seems those guys are EVERYWHERE!
