Seriously, how can you say these things?  Think about my little "tongue in
cheek" above.  No one can survive in business long if they did this.
Negligence is the key.  Absence of negligence keeps him in the clear.  I
agree that the work he performed up to this point will be lost if the
customer gives up on a subsequent repair.
