How about those Theloneas Monk recordings... ow!

Since Monk had a reputation for being iconoclastic, I asked Bennie Golson
once if he thought the poor condition of Monk's pianos was intentional.  He
said he didn't know, though one time during a live gig, Monk accused him of
playing "too perfect."
