Dear list, The D'Angelo School of Music here in Erie has a Boes. (92 note) with cracked plate. The cracks are in three places where the struts terminate at the tuning pin end, directly beside the understring felt. The uppermost strut shows a small amount of shifting on either side of the crack. This is not an old piano. The soundboard, bridges are in good shape. They want to sell it but the nearest broker doesn't want it. Since a trip to Germany would coast $30,000 - 40,000, Has there been much success repairing this kind of problem? They're hoping to get at least $5 to $7K for the piano. We would appreciate any opinions. Any inquiries about purchase can be directed to: Glen Kwok Director, D'Angelo School of Music Erie, PA PH. 814-824-2394 Thanks, Bob Sadowski RPT
