basic questions - action centers and filing

centers. if you raise them up on a voicing block to support the tails
then strip sand them you should not be torquing the shanks enough to
hurt the centers.

Don,
    If the hammer assemblies are removed and gang filed, any chance of
stress to the action centers is removed. It also gives us a good opportunity
to test the action centers.  Of course if it is a very light filing that you
are doing, I would agree that there is no real stress on the action centers.
