Ankle deep for a week?

If it were up to my ankle (wearing tennis shoes), that would submerge the
bottom board and pedals and put the water level lapping at the hitchpins of
the longest bass strings. 

I wouldn't trust it. Even if it holds together for now, you'll be making a
career of chasing problems.
