Et Al; I tuned for a new client yesterday whose choice of piano was/is questionable but.....whose taste in decorating/Objects deArt is immpeccable. He has a hobby of restoring old reed organs....(by the way he has a complete bellows, reed box w/reeds, etc. available if there is any interest. [Estey]) He has on the wall in his music room the dual keyboard, ivory keytops, with twelve stops of the organ six on each side, hanging as a shelf. In order to reduce the amount it protudes into the room the keyboards are placed at an acute angle, enough so that you look at the keys as if you are looking down on the keys. The spacer blocks/cheeks from the cabinet form the sides of this unit and finish the allusion. Very, very nice looking and extemely interesting. The flat top of the hanging is used as a shelf where several 'old' books of music and sheet music is displayed, books with the spline facing out and sheet music with the front cover facing out........ Well done indeed. In His computer room he has the pedal clavier hanging on the wall and uses the front stop as a shelf where he keeps all of his CD discs, music and computer; also very well done. One more example of "Trash and Treasure" huh? I personally have never seen this before, perhaps others have. Jim Bryant (FL)
