New York or Hamburg

Hi John,
Sounds like a good approach, I thing that it is worth a try can't
screw up any thing, as I will still have the old one to fall back on.
The 2 previous Steinways that I popped the plate had 3/4" bolts, so it was
the 18mm that threw me. The sustenudo is the standard action mount, circa
1918 you can almost bet that it is New York.
I've adopted your 1gm weight rep spring technique and I love it, like most
simple ideas it's a winner, also appreciated many of your other tips, but
next time you use me as the as the PATSY I'll bring my own spring tension
tool.
Your centre pin cleaning set is coming when the machinist gets to
production, the non concentric F/R cleaner works like a charm.
Thank's for your help, it was nice to here from you again.
Warm regards Roger.
