I misunderstood Susan's post about baking soda. I thought she was talking about dipping the WOOD parts in some vertigris neutralizing solution during a refelt job. Someone on the list said that even a refelt job wouldn't cure verdigris because it hides in the flange and just creeps back into the new felt and pins. So now that is my question. Can the bare wood parts be treated to remove/neutralize/sealinforever the vertigris allowing a refelt job to hold "forever?" Glenn.
