Spacing hammers on Steinways is not an uncommon activity and is illustrated
in the Steinway & Sons technical manual, pages 32-34.

If this should occur, then spacing the repetitions/supports/wippens to the
hammershank knuckle is the next order of business as illustrated in the
Steinway & Sons technical manual, page 35.
