sluggish centers

I have found that if I shrink the centers with alcohol/water and then
use Protek, sometimes the  centers become too loose.  Before I used the
Protek, the centers were too tight.  And using Protek alone didn't
loosen them up enough.  I ended repinning a lot of centers.  This was on
an Everett studio.
