CA wicking up from tuning pin bottom

The methods that I have heard described for applying CA glue to
loose tuning pins all involve applying the CA from the top.
Has anyone ever tried to apply the CA from the bottom of
a grand pinblock by wicking (in cases where bushings make top
application difficult and help is not available to flip the
grand upside down)?
