If you study the feel of the jack moving out from under and returning to the knuckle on a properly regulated round knuckle on any other grand you can adjust the "pear" knuckles to have the same feel. I prefer the feel test of this regulation point at all times because knuckles cand be in slightly different locations, can be larger or smaller and have odd shapes, all which effects the feel and performance of an action. The procedure is to light place themiddle finger on the end of the shank near the flange and with the thumb move the jack toe down and back again several times, adjusting the finger pressure to get the proper feel. Springs have to be up to tension. After learning this the "pears" are a no brainer. Newton nhunt@jgat.com
