Sooner or later it will be realized that the smoothest most perfectly compromised scale on the piano only drains it of much of the music it has to offer. After the majority of the tuning profession finally succeeds in making the acoustic piano sound like an electronic keyboard, the tide will begin to turn in the other direction. Unequal temperaments and tempered octaves will be the new goal. By the time it happens though, I'll be too exhausted to say, "I TRIED to tell you!" Sigh...If only those engineers new how wonderful a 1/7 comma meantone with it's "mini-wolf" sounds. It's way over their heads though. It will be the year 2020 before they'd ever consider it.
