Aural checks would be nice, but since I use the SATII a lot, instructions on how to modify SAT tunings to get a Equal Beating Victorian temperament would be nice also. Also, would you mind writing out the instructions to tune your 1/7 comma modified meantone temperament? Thanks! >> I have been planning to publish this information for some time but have not been able to spare the time necessary. I will be in Montreal next week, then there is only a week with a holiday on Saturday between then and going to the Convention. I'd like to get this information out but it requires a lot of very detailed writing for which I do not want any errors or ommissions. I hope the Journal will want to publish it too. I'll try to get at it after the Convention. There are no short cuts to involving the HT's in your practice. In fact, it will mean that you'll have to spend more time, learn new ETD programming skills and learn to be versitile with your listening skills. It is much like learning a foreign language. You can be quite content with the first langauage you learned, English, and say to yourself that you have no reason to learn another. The second language will take a long time to learn and you will be awkward with it for a long time. But once that second one is learned well, the rest come easily.
