2)Transportation to Westin and Holiday Inn Hotels from the airport:
Westin--shuttle service: near baggage claim area catch "Airport Van Shuttle",
$9.00 one way, leaves once an hour about 5 minutes before the hour, takes
about 25 minutes to Westin.
Holiday Inn--free shuttle service; call from courtesy phone near baggage
claim, Holiday Inn will send shuttle as soon as possible.

Cab Ride: about $25.00

3)Phones at the Westin:
WARNING! Please note that making a direct long distance call from your
hotel room at the Westin is extremely expensive! The approximate charge is
$2.00 for the first minute and $1.00 after the first minute. If you use a
calling card you will save yourself quite a bit of money. Please be sure to
read the phone instruction card in your sleeping room regarding this
information.

4)Hearing tests:
For those of you planning to have your hearing tested in Providence, here are
a few tips:
a)The test will be more accurate if your ears are clean! If you can't get
them cleaned by your doctor, a drop or two of mineral oil in each ear every
few days can help to loosen wax.
b)At the convention center, we'll offer professional hearing tests on Thurs
8:30-5:30 for$8; ask at the PTG registration desk for testing room location.
Since the test only takes a few minutes you can drop by the testing room
anytime Thurs and wait for the next available slot.
c)A few blocks from the convention center, you can get a battery of hearing
tests at the Univ of RI for the discounted price of $25. These tests will be
available on Thurs and Fri 8:30-5:30; Sat testing may be possible if there's
enough interest. Sign up for an appointment on the bulletin board at the PTG
registration desk; you'll receive a map to the URI testing center.
d)Custom-made earplugs are available for $45 at either testing location. An
impression will be taken of your ear and the earplugs will be mailed to you.

See you all soon!
