Does anyone know anything about the Joseph Yasser mentioned
in that Allen paper I mentioned in my last message ? 

The UVA library catalog shows two books: 

  1. 
        A theory of evolving tonality / by Joseph Yasser. (1975) 
        ML3811.Y2 T4 1975. 1 (MU-STKS) at MUSIC. 
  2. 
        The future of tonality ... (1930) 
        ML 1 .M1781 no.1 1930. 1 (MU-STKS) at MUSIC. 

but I haven't had a chance to stroll over to the music library
and look at them yet. 

( The 1975 appears to be a reprint of a 1934 original. )
