I have a tool made my Joe himself which I have had for some twenty five
years.  The new ones (a have one as a space) is heavier and clunky and
the distance from the inside of the hook to it's outside is way too
thick.  I will be grinding mine down to the point that the hook itself
will be about 2mm.  This will help prevent damage to the plate when a
pin is lower than others.
