This is a multi-part message in MIME format. ---------------------- multipart/mixed attachment Jon I have been using a method which gave very good results for raising the pitch to 440 fast, normaly in 2 tunings , first one, the proper raise is acomplished in about 15min or less, the second tuning is a normal tuning, you need an ETD for the first one, it works, up to 100 cts flat. I can give you my basics, try it, afterwards depending how low it is experience shows you to use more or less: With an ETD starting from A1 Use the normal settings you use in your ETD plus 4cents Tune all bass strings as you normaly do plus 4cents When you arrive at the steel strings increase with 4cents that is what your library says plus eight cents, donīt compare and donīt check. Keep tuning like this for an octave and add 4cents again, keep tuning this way up to the plate strut, Next group of strings rise again +4cents tune till the next strut or group of strings, add 4cents more. In all these process do not check, once you finished, you will find out that the instrument is A440 or very near, but most important all even. There are some exceptions, but normaly you will be surprised. It works wonderfuly for pianos from 10cts flat to 25 cts flat, Works well up to 50cts flat Beyond that sometimes it will end up around 10cts flat so you can give it a second pull. Normaly you will also end up with a very good tonal stability.
