Is this normal procedure?

There is another issue that you must take into account and that is the
availability of the pianos and facilities. You cannot just walk into a
class room and tune and piano while a class is in progress. You cannot
work 8 hours a day five days a week without running into all kinds of
scheduling problems.

Repairs, string replacements, cleaning out junk in pianos and other
things like finding a bench upon which to sit while tuning, if it isn't
missing a leg you are lucky.

If you are an early bird or a night owl you maybe can work in four hours
per day. 137 pianos can take a LONG time, I know.
