Auto-stepping test

Hi Mitch:

Comparing Apples to Apples,

I see your 2400 Mac runs a good bit faster than my 2300 machine. When I
bought my 2300, it cost over $3000. I see in your website that the 2400
package with RCT runs $3495 now. If we were comparing oranges to oranges,
I'd say that the note switching test between your Mac 2400 should beat the
SAT III by twice as fast for that kind of money. I wonder how fast the
$1395 MAC model 280 would run this test?

I went back and tried the test again between the 2300 RCT and the SAT III.
I had so many stops with the RCT this time that I just quit trying. Your
newer more expensive 2400 must have better ears or a higher gain in the
circuitry in addition to the higher clock speed than the 2300 I own.

It's probably a moot point since no one needs to run a fast 87 note
chromatic scale anyway during the tuning of a piano.
