 Bob, I have on the back burner an 1887 S&S upright I've restrung, hammers,
etc. which also had the front board replaced with one from another piano
instead of the latticework. I happened to see an exact model in an
Architectural Digest a year or so ago, and was disheartened to see how
beautifully and intricately carved the original was. Kind a took the wind
out of my sails. Can't afford to pay someone to do it, can't do it myself.
I have an 1877 Rosewood S&S, a little shorter but 88 note as well,
untouched in the bowels of the shop, and the lattice is much plainer,
probably could be copied by a good woodworker. I could send dimensions,
possibly a picture though no camera at the moment.  Ken
