I bought what APSCO called a replacement shaft for a Hale hammer.
It was useless in my Hale hammer. The "groove" running the length that 
fits inside the hammer is much wider causing a very loose fit in the 
handle. The threaded portion is much shorter and my Hale heads simply 
turn onto the shaft till they run out of thread. On Hale shafts, they 
would turn untill the shaft was snug in the head, leaving a few threads 
exposed. Does anyone make a REAL replacement shaft for original Hale 
hammers?
