Hi Jay,

ANy piano will return 25% of the distance you change it if you tune the
unison as you go or will change about 30% if you leave the unisons for
later.  This remains the same when making a change either up or down.
Making a calculation of how much a piano is off will help the final
result.

New pianos that seem to respond like RubberMaid just need more tuning
than older pianos.

THere has been much written in the past about this subject.  You might
like to search the archives.
