A piano disappeared last month in a move from Lincoln, IL to Carrolton,
Texas. The serial # of the 6 ft. Mason & Hamlin grand piano is =
AA-18032,
built in 1908. It was black, the fallboard was locked, and the pedal =
lyre
was taken off in preparation for the move. The mover didn't have the =
key or
the screws for the pedal. It was travelling in a trailer on the back of =
an
old white pickup truck from Lincoln, IL to Carrolton, Texas which is =
just
outside of Dallas. It left Lincoln on September 6 and disappeared =
allegedly
in the Memphis area. The mover's story is that he had car trouble in
Blythville, Arkansas and pulled into a restaurant parking lot and left =
the
truck and trailer there overnight until he could get help. When he =
returned
the next day, the trailer was gone. The owners believe that he =
travelled
south on 55 from Lincoln to Memphis. He may have stopped to visit =
relatives
in St. Louis. If anyone has any info about the piano please contact =
Julie
Kasa at jkasa@abelink.com. Thanks.
