I'm sure this is not an original idea with me but I did just discover it this week and thought it might be of value to others. If you have trouble with tool boxes sliding around in the back of your car (small wagon or hatchback) and your car is carpeted put a few pieces of bristly part of velcro tape on the bottom of your tool boxes and then they won't slide around any more.
