Jerry,

You will get phone calls like this in the future, too. The answer is that you
can't possibly give an opinion without seeing it, and that you charge X to
come see it and evaluate it. Until you have enough experience to have a better
idea of prices, it is helpful to ask someone more experienced about that part
- once you have evaluated it. But without knowing what it really is, how old
and its condition, what can you do? And why would you want to give free advice
that is likely to be in error? You'll hear this question many times in the
future, so put together a plan for how you will handle it.
