I just found out last Saturday that there is a man in Calgary who builds concert harps. He has even developed a pneumatic or hydrolic ( I'm not sure which) , rather than mechanical, system for the pedals to operate the tuning mechanisms....He also has a daughter here who teaches harp and has a number of harps for sale /rent.... I do know of a French double harpsichord that will be for sale here in Calgary also.... And it's closer than Missouri... And by the way, I have nothing to gain by the either....I would have e-mailed you privately but no e-mail address was given...email me at mike.swendsen@shaw.wave.ca Mike Swendsen -----Original Message----- From: owner-pianotech@ptg.org [mailto:owner-pianotech@ptg.org] On Behalf Of Arlie D. Rauch Sent: Wednesday, October 28, 1998 7:14 AM To: pianotech@ptg.org Subject: Harp & Harpsichord An unusual request yesterday: Someone here in Montana is considering purchasing a harp and harpsichord in Missouri. Is there any way that the harp and harpsichord can be evaluated so that the potential buyer in Montana can have an idea what they are worth? Perhaps someone in Missouri, or nearby, has an answer. If you prefer, you may reply privately. Arlie D. Rauch Arlie D. Rauch Glendive, MT If you have nothing better to do, check out http://members.tripod.com/~Turbooster/. You'll be glad you did.
