There's no plot here, Joe.  If you had serviced this piano, you'd
understand why I chose the course of action I did, and circumvented string
leveling.

But since you indicate string leveling would be something to do prior to
fitting hammers to strings, which in most situations I fully agree, let's
include traveling and spacing the hammers prior to fitting as well .

The saying, "You can't make silk out of a sow's ear." seems somewhat apropos.
