 Dear List,

I am about to hang hammers using the sectional old hammer ends as a
guide. My question is if I have to change the rake(angle) of the hammers
to compensate for the difference of striking line on the strings. Doesn't
the hammer striking line recede with the wear of the hammers?

 Thanks

The rake is not the problem. You need the samples to get started. Line up by
using the strike point at the end of the molding as a reference. I prefer to
bore my own hammers, but that is another subject.
