In a message dated 98-09-04 11:31:33 EDT, you write:

<< Does the guild in addition to repair methods. offer information regarding
how to develop what you have learned into a business? you can't exactly
proclaim " I tune pianos" and expect the world to beat a path to your door.
another thing........no matter how nice a job you do rebuilding, if you are
a 'unknown" how do you become 'known"??
Any change in vocation can be a bit scary, and you have to eat.

 Just wondering

To answer your question, Andy, yes, the PTG does offer some very good business
classes. And just about every month, there are also very good articles in the
Journal about how to build your business, how to deal with custoerms, etc.

If you are serious about joining, find out when the next meeting of the
chapter is in your area, and fill out the application form. Then, welcome
aboard.
